We will start with a meeting at the train station, we will go to Samarkand on the Afrosiab high-speed train. Departure from Tashkent at 07:28, arrival at 09:41. At the train station we will be met by a professional guide with a sign UZHOLIDAY, he will accompany us throughout the day.

Samarkand is a huge living organism and an open-air museum. You will see this by visiting its key attractions:
 Gur-Emir Mausoleum — the royal tomb where the great Tamerlane himself and his sons and grandchildren are buried;
Registan is the heart of Samarkand and its main square with three madrasahs of the 15th-17th centuries: Ulugbek, Tillya-Kari, Sherdor. We will look at everything and talk about who studied here and when;
 Bibi-Khanim Mosque, built, according to legend, in honor of Tamerlane's beloved wife. You will find out why the chief architect of the mosque did not want to finish work on it;
 The Hazret-Khizr Mosque is one of the oldest surviving mosques in Central Asia;
Shahi Zinda Mausoleum: an ensemble of tombs of the ancient nobility of Samarkand, which consists of 11 beautiful mausoleums. Some of them are open to the public.

In the middle of the day we will stop for lunch at a restaurant and try a real Samarkand pilaf, which differs from the traditional Tashkent pilaf — and we will definitely discuss what exactly.

 Mausoleum von Shahi Zinda: ein Ensemble von Gräbern des alten Adels von Samarkand, das aus 11 schönsten Mausoleen besteht. Einige von ihnen sind für einen Besuch geöffnet.
 
 Am Nachmittag halten wir zum Mittagessen im Restaurant an und probieren den echten Samarkand—Pilaw, der sich von dem traditionellen Pilaw in Taschkent unterscheidet - und wir werden sicherlich darüber diskutieren, was genau ist.
